2. Our collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of its use
Personal data is individual information about personal or factual circumstances. They are suitable for identifying natural persons or making them identifiable.
We would therefore like to inform you below whether and when data in general and personal data in particular are collected from you by us:
a) When visiting our website
When you access our website www.baltic-hotel-luebeck.de, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. We work with the host Hosteurope, which is based in the EU and with whom we have concluded an AV contract, and use CMS website technology. The following information is recorded without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

- Website from which access is made (referrer URL),

Your IP address of the requesting computer and thus any relevant personal data are generally not completely collected or stored by us.
The collection/storage here only takes place in a shortened and therefore, in our opinion, anonymized form, so that the IP address can no longer represent personal data under data protection law.
The above-mentioned data will be processed by us for the following purposes that are essential to operating the site:

The legal basis for our data processing, as long as it still involves the processing of personal data, is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f GDPR.

We give you the opportunity to contact us by email or telephone via our website. When you contact us via email or our designated telephone number, the data you voluntarily provide to us will be stored in order to answer your inquiries.

The personal data we collect for using the contact form will be automatically deleted after the request you have made and thus after the intended purpose has been completed, unless you have given us express consent for further processing or in accordance with legal requirements Retention obligations oblige us to continue to store the data.
